Mona Nasser Egea, MS, RMHCI

Mona Egea is the founding Program Director for the Christ Fellowship Counseling Ministry, serving hundreds weekly through individual, marriage, and family counseling, as well as marriage mentoring, and budget coaching. She has developed and oversees the functions of the ministry and its 75 leaders since 1999. She also helps to equip churches locally and nationwide in the development of lay counseling ministries. She was nominated in 2007 for the Woman of Distinction Award at the 34th Annual Soroptimist International Awards Ceremony in Boca Raton, Fl. 

Mona was instrumental in developing a Marriage Mentoring Ministry that now includes over 100 trained marriage mentor couples in her oversight, as well as helping to bring a CMP, Healthy Marriage Initiative to Palm Beach County in 2008.  She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University in 1992, with a minor in Psychology.  She received her M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2000. She has been an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University in the Graduate Psychology Department, where she currently serves in a supervisory capacity for its Masters Level Interns.

Mona serves on the Place of Hope Admissions Team, which considers placement of abused and neglected children into its family-style residential care facility. She is a founding Executive Committee Member of the SFACC since 2005. She is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Association of Marriage and Family Ministries.  
She holds certifications in PREPARE/ ENRICH, Couple Communication Programs, and Critical Incident Stress Management. She is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida.
